What is Sciatica?
Sciatica is a general term for issues involving the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the human body and originates from the lower lumbar spine and branches through out the lower limbs to the feet. When the sciatic nerve is aggravated due to pressure from a bulging disc or piriformis syndrome pain will be the ending result. Pain due to sciatica could stay in the low back area or extend with the branches of the nerve to the lower limbs. Sciatica pain can arise due to several causes such as auto accidents or osteoarthritis.
